Palma, St. Agusti demos (Hauptwerk 2)live performance | midi performance | short introductions of single stops | free demo "Palma MINI" These demos were recorded live using Hauptwerk 2 and the Palma sample set by an amateur player. (Occasional errors of the player's fingers underline the live character of the performance). The registration used reflects the historical knowledge about the stop usage. We can hear that a Spanish organ is not only its "Trompeteria" but that there is also a beauty of the flue stops. You can hear the effect of the random pipe detuning feature of Hauptwerk which was set a bit higher than usual to produce the effect of real world organ, which is never perfectly in tune. This effect may be turned off by user if not desired. Antonio Carreira, Lisbon, c.1525-1597,

(5.2 MB) Midi demonstrationsThe midi files used to record these demos originated at www.classicalarchives.com or at www.kunstderfuge.com. These midi files were the same as I used to make the Santanyi virtual organ demos. You can listen to the mp3 performance below, or, you can download the wav files packed in a single rar package (50 MB). Prior to packing, the files were downsampled to 44.1kHz/16bit resolution because of the size of the files. The original performance was done using the 48kHz/24bit samples. Cabanilles:

Cadireta Palma, St. Agusti MINI sample set - Free download! You can try the sample set yourself. As a free gift from Sonus Paradisi, you can download the MINI (cut down) version of Palma. After you download the RAR archive from here, you can install it into your Hauptwerk from its menu. Two organ installation packages appear on your computer, no. 352 and 355. These two packages contain the Palma MINI sample set. The set contains only 4 stops taken from the Teclat d'Alt and only a bit more than two octaves of each (from the c0 to e2) NOT the full compass!!! In addition, you will get the Palma tuning chart installed among the other temperaments to be used with the sample set (recommended). The samples were downsampled to 16bit and 44.1 kHz only. The full set is available in 24 bit and 48kHz. This free MINI sample set is ment to provide a "preview" of the full version, it is not designed to be a stand alone instrument. You can taste the timbre of the stops, you can check the technical brilliancy but you can hardly use it to play a real music. Although |
